New in 2016, this session looks at pornography use among young people.
The problem with porn is that it is so prolific that the majority of young people will have seen sexualised and ‘unsettling’ images even before they reach secondary school. They may have sought these images through curiosity, been shown them by another person, or accidentally come across them in their every day on-line activity.
The problem with porn is that young people – kids – are not always aware that the videos and images they are seeing are not an accurate reflection of respectful relationships, of ‘every day’ sex and of ordinary human bodies.
