It feels great to have a boyfriend or girlfriend, to be in love. In the early stages of a relationship lots of people are looking at the world through ‘rose coloured glasses’, but for some people these love lenses can hide some clues that your relationship is not as healthy as it should be.
In our Healthy Relationships program we encourage young people to take a step back and examine their relationships with a clear head. We ask them to think about the qualities of a healthy relationship, whether it is with a romantic or sexual partner, a family member or their friends.
A healthy relationship is a two-way street where both or all people involved agree to and experience:
- Mutual respect
- Trust
- Honesty
- Support
- Fairness/equality
- Separate identities and
- Good Communication.
In this 2 hour session participants need to be ready for role-play, group discussions, quizzes and more.
